Caitlyn Shadbolt's second album STAGES is out now via ABC Music/UMA. Touted as 'one to watch' and a 'rising star', this record sees the 25-year old bring a more polished pop country feel to her songwriting and guitar playing.
The album, which is currently sitting at #3 on iTunes, features her #4 airplay hit 'Edge Of The Earth', cowritten with Sarah Buckley, upcoming single 'Two Lost Lovers' and fan favourites 'Bones' and 'Porcelain'.
The album was recorded during lock down with all vocals and acoustic guitars engineered at Caitlyn's home studio in Gympie, with Brisbane based producer Stuart Stuart bringing the tracks to life in his Analog Heart studio.
STAGES highlights Caitlyn's ever evolving musical career. With 9 out of the 10 songs co-written by Caitlyn, she has worked with other songwriting talent including Sarah Buckley (The Buckleys), Alana Springsteen (US singer/songwriter), and Dylan Nash (Dean Lewis), to name a few.
Discussing STAGES, Caitlyn said, "The title track of the album, the song that sums it all up. We all live our lives through different stages and for me, I get to live those stages ON stages. It's pretty special looking back and seeing where I've been and what I've done and it's exciting to wonder where I'll land next."
A finalist in the sixth season of The X Factor Australia, Caitlyn Shadbolt went on to secure a recording deal with ABC MUSIC and release her debut album, Songs On My Sleeve (May 2017). Upon release the album hit #1 on the ARIA Country Album chart. First single, 'My Break-Up Anthem', held the #1 National Country Airplay Chart for 8 consecutive weeks and became the second most played song on Country Radio (held out of the top spot by Sam Hunt's monster hit 'Body Like A Backroad'). Caitlyn was recognised for her achievements by winning the CMC Award for Best New Artist, along with a nomination for Female Artist of the Year.
