After returning to our shores for a run of intimate sold-out album dates, New York-based Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Cameron Avery reveals the official video for latest single 'Watch Me Take It Away.' The video also follows his support for multi-award winning singer/songwriter Sarah Blasko on her -The Soloist' album tour and recent appearance on the bill for Californian sisters Haim at their Sydney Splendour sideshow last month.
Following a SXSW appearance and an extensive tour of the US, UK and Europe with his band, the animated video comes ahead of his second North American tour, kicking off next week.
Released via ANTI/Spinning Top Records, the self-produced Ripe Dreams, Pipe Dreams album has received widespread acclaim from outlets across the globe, praising Avery's ability to channel train-wreck romanticism into timeless music for the modern age. Inspired by the old records he loved " Johnny Hartman, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Sarah Vaughan, Etta James, audiences will be treated to live renditions of 'Ces't Toi', 'Wasted On Fidelity' and Dance With Me,' of which the accompanying visual translation features friend Alexa Chung.
