Grammy-award winner KIMBRA will be the headline act at the FREE Celebrate Darling Harbour 2016 family concert in Darling Harbour on Sunday 11 December, to mark completion of the three year, $1.5 billion development of International Convention Centre (ICC Sydney), and revitalisation of Darling Harbour's public domain.
Taking place in the new Tumbalong Park from 12pm to 5pm, the FREE Celebrate Darling Harbour 2016 concert will feature a variety of acts to delight people of all ages. KIMBRA will headline the program and perform the songs that have made her one of the most powerful voices of her generation.
Children's entertainers will also perform live and talented stilt-dancers, giant costumed characters and other roving acts will add to the festive and family-friendly atmosphere of the day.
Attendees will be able to enjoy free hands-on craft activities at the Village Green, and grab a tasty treat from the smorgasbord of food trucks.
Celebrate Darling Harbour 2016 features a competition with prizes to be won in the lead-up to and during this special event. The public is invited to submit photographs, via Instagram and Twitter, using #celebratedarlingharbour, of their favourite experience or part of Darling Harbour, since the precinct opened in 1988.
Celebrate Darling Harbour 2016 will also be the last chance for the public to take a free self-guided tour of the ICC Sydney, before it officially commences operations on 20 December. The tours will operate between 1.30pm-3.30pm on 11 December.
