Courtney Barnett's debut album Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit has been certified with ARIA Gold Sales in Australia.
This follows on from news earlier this month that she had been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Of the nomination Barnett says:
"It's an honour to be recognised amongst so many great artists on such a huge scale and it's well beyond anything I ever imagined would happen off the back of my first album. It's also really cool to see fellow Australians Tame Impala and Hiatus Kaiyote nominated too!"
Barnett is now preparing for a massive summer of touring in Australia which will see her play festival appearances at Woodford Folk Festival, Falls Festival, Southbound, Sugar Mountain & Twilight at Taronga.
Barnett will also be performing in Perth at the Astor Theatre on Thursday 7 January, Sydney at the Enmore Theatre on Saturday 16 January and Melbourne at The Palais Theatre on Friday 22 January.
There are just a handful of tickets left for Perth & Melbourne headline shows, with Sydney already sold out. Full ticket information and purchase links below. Joining Courtney at all headline shows will be the amazing Cloud Control. Also supporting in Melbourne and Sydney is Wil Wagner (The Smith Street Band) and in Perth Methyl Ethel.
