This was followed by APRA award winning (Song Of The Year) 7x Platinum and number one Australian airplay chart hit, 'I Said Hi' and the 2019 4x Platinum single 'Mess Her Up'. Shark's debut/breakthrough #1 ARIA album and Platinum-certified LOVE MONSTER was recognised in 2018 with four ARIA awards (Album of the Year, Best Female Artist, Best Pop Release, Best Producer [Dann Hume]) and went on to become the highest selling album by an Australian artist for 2018. Deniliquin was a vibrant town on the edge of the outback, struggling with a crippling drought, when a group of community minded locals devised a plan to attract much needed visitors.
The first, Deni Play on the Plains Festival, as it was known at the time, took place in October 1999, on the flattest, natural, open plains on earth, and with "ute culture" being an intrinsic part of Deniliquin, it was unanimous that it would play a major part of the festival and hence the Deni Ute Muster burst into the national psyche.
In its first year, the Deni Ute Muster had approximately 5,000 patrons and set a new Guinness World Record for the most number of legally paraded utes at 2,839 – a record which still stands today. Since 1999, the Deni Ute Muster has become the region's biggest tourist drawcard and a celebration of all things Australian.
Grab your mates and shine up the ute, because you don't want to miss the next in a lineage of exceptional entertainment, on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th October 2024. Deni Ute Muster Tickets on sale now and available at deniutemusic.com.au.
