It is a collection of stories revealing the passion and inspirations that led these hoteliers to create such one-of-a-kind hotel concepts.

'Creativity and originality are what make our member hotels so outstanding and these are the guiding principles for Design Hotels™ as a brand as well. The stories and visuals in the books were crafted to highlight not only the individuality of each hotel, but also the individuals who make them so special. Winning a red dot Award is a great affirmation for us and we are honored to receive this recognition," says Bernd Neff, Vice-President for Brand, Marketing and Communications, Design Hotels™.

In addition to these coffee table books, Design Hotels™ created the new content rich website www.MadeByOriginals.com. The online magazine gives an insight into the world of the -Originals' and features stories about the creative people behind the hotels, compelling videos and travel guides with insider tips for several destinations.

The red dot Awards started in 1955 by Professor Dr Peter Zec and is currently the leading and biggest design competition in the world. It has gained a strong foothold in the world of design competitions and is a hallmark of excellence in quality design. With an increase in the number of entries this year at 6,468 entries from 40 countries, the bar was raised. Only 10 percent of the entries received an award. A distinguished jury panel examines and assesses every piece of submitted work. Evaluation criteria includes originality, emotional quality, design quality and effectiveness.
