Palms on Parker is the result of the dedication and vision of local family owners Mary and Chett Hubbard and Chris and Chaler Hutton. The team purchased the building in 2015 with the dream to refurbish it. Following the closure of several local backpackers in recent years due to development, the owners recognized that the time was right to bring their vision to life.
This has resulted in Palms on Parker, budget accommodation, with the latest amenities, designed with the modern backpacker in mind. The million-dollar refurbishment project was an ambitious overhaul, which included, the installation of new windows and frames, new doors and flooring, comprehensive bathroom and kitchen upgrades and new furniture and bedding. The outdoor areas have been reenvisaged with new fencing, paint, a sparkling inground pool and landscaping.
"Our vision for Palms on Parker was to create a space where travellers could experience the breathtaking beauty of the Sunshine Coast while enjoying modern, welcoming, and social accommodation. A home away from home," said Joint Co-Owner Mary Hubbard. "Whether you're here to catch waves, discover local gems, or simply relax, we invite you to 'find me @ the Palms', for an unforgettable stay."
