The Dove Pink Star Walk registrations are now open, be quick as there are only 5,000 spots available!!!

On Saturday 7th October 2006 beneath a starlit Sydney sky, leading beauty brand Dove will be holding the first ever Dove Pink Star Walk in aid of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). Proceeds from the walk will help to fund research for prevention and cure, whilst acknowledging the 2,500 women that die of Breast Cancer each year in Australia.

The Dove Pink Star Walk will be a fun and unique 5km stroll through the Sydney CBD at night, starting at 8pm in Darling Harbour and winding round a beautiful scenic route through Circular Quay, past the Sydney Opera House and finishing in the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Open to men, women, children and families of all ages and fitness levels, everyone will be encouraged to do their little bit to help, by having the opportunity to be sponsored or by wearing something pink, such as a t-shirt, accessories or hat. In addition, participants are encouraged to get into the theme of the breast cancer cause and wear a pink decorated bra (or on top of their clothing is ok too)! There will be prizes awarded on the night for the best costumes and for those adopting the pink spirit, plus entertainment throughout the evening to cheer you on until everyone is well over the finish line!

To enter all you have to do is log on to www.mydove.com.au fill in the entry form on-line and then pay the registration fee (different fees apply for adults, children, concessions etc). But, make sure you are quick - for the first year only, entry into The Dove Pink Star Walk is capped at 5,000 participants so be sure to sign up soon! Once registered, all walkers will receive an event pack containing event information, route and a pink item to wear on the night such as a wristband or glow necklace.
