Easter Festivities at Sydney Fish Market

Sydney Fish Market welcomes everyone to kick-off the Easter long weekend celebrations with a visit to Australia's home of Seafood.

Retailers are planning ahead for the busiest trading day of the year, when more than 55,000 people are expected to come down and purchase their Easter supplies.

To cater for the Good Friday crowd, Sydney Fish Market has extended trading hours, opening 5.00am to 5.00pm on Friday, 25 March 2016.  Normal opening hours of 7.00am to 4.00pm will be in place across the rest of the long weekend, Saturday, 26 March, to Monday, 28 March, 2016. Customers can come in and purchase all they need for their festive celebrations, or sit and enjoy a waterside seafood lunch.

White fish and prawns are expected to be at the top of shoppers' lists with an estimated 44 tonnes of prawns to be sold over the Easter long weekend. But it's not all about choosing from Sydney's widest range of seafood, customers can pick up everything to create a delicious feast including fresh fruits and vegetables, gourmet deli items and freshly baked breads.

The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance on Good Friday, from 10.30am until 12.30pm along with face painting for children from 11.00am until 3.00pm.
