Elizabeth Fader Big Mistake

Elizabeth Fader Big Mistake

Elizabeth Fader follows her stunning debut, 'Encore' with a new single and video for 'Big Mistake'. Recorded and produced in New Zealand by Ben Edwards (Marlon Williams, Aldous Harding), 'Big Mistake' displays Fader's ability to flex her prodigious talent across multiple genres and styles.

The sonic assault of 'Big Mistake' is a tale of following your dreams to another's disapproval. "It's about not taking the safe road," says Fader. It's about taking risks so you don't end up settling for a big mistake, whatever that might be to you. It's about following your gut and sticking to your own path all the way through life. Something that can't be taught only discovered through learning and intuition." The accompanying video, shot by Nick Mckk (Julia Jacklin, Stella Donnelly, Rolling Blackouts), captures a sense of determined isolation with anticipation and excitement.

While finding success with Phantastic Ferniture, it's Fader's solo work that earned her the reputation as one of Sydney's most intriguing songwriters & guitar players. Leading to support slots for the likes of Julien Baker, Julia Jacklin and The Teskey Brothers.

Blending introspective songwriting with a rock-pop finish, Elizabeth Fader's songwriting is both intimate and exuberant. Faders debut single 'Encore', describing the all too familiar scenario of finding someone you'll bend the rules for, received widespread attention and praise. With rotation and airplay from community radio across the country, as well as support from DSPs.

Fader's debut body of work, recorded with ARIA award-winning producer Burke Reid (Courtney Barnett, The Drones) and Ben Edwards and is set to be released by Cooking Vinyl Australia early next year.
