Fresh on the back of her Soundmerch Australian Music Prize & ARIA Award (Best Country Album) nominations comes Dig – the new single from Fanny Lumsden.
Lifted from her chart-topping album fallow, the Award-winning Country singer-songwriter has produced yet another melodic earworm to take us through the summer. In a year which has seen us all face many challenges, Dig is a little welcome relief with its upbeat chorus and positive message.
"Dig came out of a time where I was finding the line between gritting your teeth, digging deeper on something and letting it go of the things that we can't control, a moving target that has only become more relevant as 2019 turned to 2020 and 2020 has worn on. It's ultimately about finding the joy where you can, and it always peps me up especially when the brass come in! "
Produced by Matt Fell in the NSW Snowy Mountains' Stone hut where fallow was recorded, Dig features Benjamin Corbett on electric guitars and keys, Dan Stanley Freeman on bass, Thomas Lumsden on backing vocals and Fanny Lumsden on acoustic guitars, lead vocals and harmonies, with Brass by James Greening.
Dig is out now - available on all streaming platforms and features on the album fallow.
