With hundreds of people attending and participating in the 2017 event, the ever popular Feldenkrais Discovery Day is back at the Abbotsford Convent this September.
Running from 10am to 4pm on Saturday the 8th of September, the Feldenkrais Discovery Day is a fantastic FREE opportunity to come and discover the endless benefits of the Feldenkrais Method.
A compliment to any lifestyle, the Feldenkrais Method is a universal method for improving human life through better movement, sensation, posture, and breathing. Feldenkrais involves trained practitioners using touch, movement, guided imagery and mindful body awareness to stimulate the brain to make useful and lasting improvements.
The Feldenkrais Method holds life changing benefits for people who want to age well, performers, children and adults living with disabilities, people with chronic pain, people with neurological issues, and supports happiness and wellbeing through prevention and recovery from injury. From early childhood to advanced age, thousands of Australians use Feldenkrais every day to address their movement and posture challenges, and to reach their fullest potential.
The Feldenkrais Discovery Day will give the general public an opportunity to immerse themselves in the Method and discover the myriad of ways it's being utilised in health and well being every day.
Experience a free individual Functional Integration lesson, a free Awareness Through Movement lesson and listen to special presentations by experts specialising in the fields of neuroplasticity, mindfulness, breath, communication, managing pain and anxiety, and embodied spirituality. There will also be a variety of Feldenkrais resources to purchase on the day from a dedicated stall.
