Award-winning chef Teage Ezard serves up extraordinary Asian hawker-style street food for lunch and dinner seven days a week at his new pop-up restaurant, Gingergirl in The Star Sydney's Café Court.
The creative and tasty pop-up is inspired by Gingerboy, Ezard's cult Melbourne restaurant, which is known for its vibrant experimental menu.
The casual dining menu features a range of offbeat Southeast Asian-inspired street food dishes perfect for summer, including cold noodle salad with squid, drunken chicken, sesame, paw paw and bandit dressing ($16); yellow curry of blue eye, lychee and mango salad ($22); and red duck leg curry with thai basil and coconut cream ($24); and more.
The menu is complemented with delicious non-alcoholic beverages ($8-10), including refreshing green bubble tea punch, Vietnamese espresso, and the -Tropic Thunder' slushie with coconut water, ginger, watermelon, passionfruit and lime.
The Gingergirl pop-up will be open daily from Friday, 16 December until the end of March 2017; open on Sunday to Monday 11.30am – 9.00pm, Tuesday to Thursday 11.30am – 10.30pm and Friday to Saturday 11.30am – 11.00pm.
