Guy Sebastian Choir

Guy Sebastian Choir

ARIA Award winner Guy Sebastian's 'Choir' has topped The Music Network's Hot 100 Airplay Chart for the sixth week, making this the most successful radio song of his career. Guy is the only Australian artist to achieve this feat this year.

In gaining the #1 spot for the first time with 'Choir' back in in July, Sebastian knocked Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber off the chart peak, ending their seven-week reign of 'I Don't Care'. 'Choir' is Guy's fourth #1 on TMN Hot 100 Airplay chart after 'Like It Like That' (2009 and 5 weeks at #1), 'Battlescars' ft. Lupe Fiasco (2012) and 'Like A Drum' (2014).

On this incredible achievement, Guy commented, "I've released a lot of songs in my life. This one in particular is very special to me because it honours someone who I and many other musicians loved and respected so much. Being in a position to touch people through song is not something I take for granted. It also wouldn't happen without the continued support I've had from radio all over this country from metro to regional and my incredible label Sony Music and team. This is such a special moment for 'Choir' and I am humbled that my fans have connected to the heart of the song. We're in this together and I really am so humbled. Everyone involved at radio I am honestly so grateful. Love you!"

'Choir' follows on from Sebastian's anthem of fierce determination, 'Before I Go, released at the tail end of 2018. The Platinum-selling 'Before I Go' has been in the Australian radio airplay charts since November last year, and Sebastian has had a hit with it in Europe with it peaking at Number One on the iTunes charts in the Netherlands, where he also performed this on The Voice earlier this year. The tune has also had over 24 million streams, with half of those being international.

Guy kicks off his SOLD OUT 'Ridin' With You' Tour on Friday September 6th in Adelaide before hitting Perth, Tasmania, Melbourne, Queensland, Sydney and as just announced overnight, Amsterdam this December!
