The support for Melbourne singer-songwriter – Hannah Frances – has been gathering momentum at very fast pace at Australian radio over the past few months.
Quick to embrace the first single – "Wolf" - programmers backed up again for "That Night".
Tomorrow, Friday September 11 sees the release of the third instalment from her highly anticipated "Silverleaves" EP (due October 2020). "Here Comes The Rain" is beautiful in its simplicity and highlights Hannah's ethereal voice.
Hannah says, "Here Comes The Rain" is a song that is close to her heart and is intended as a healing force of nature.
"It's about harnessing the strength that is still within you and therefore taking the power back from something that made you feel powerless".
"I believe the song speaks for itself and is up to the listener to interpret and attach their feelings to the song in whichever way they wish to".
Hannah Frances has a haunting and hypnotising sound and cites artists including Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac and Lana Del Rey as major influences.
Her music has frequently been described as 'a sweet and dark musical terrain that traverses folk, pop and the sounds of the singer-songwriter generation of artists who trail blazed out of Greenwich Village in the 60's'.
Having cut her teeth in open mic nights and backyard concerts around Melbourne, Hannah has now moved her career onto support performances for local and international artists. Melbourne may be a long way from the famous New York region that spawned many musical storytellers, but its echo can be heard loud and clear in Hannah's intoxicating blend.
