Marrying a vampire definitely doesn't fit into Jessica Packwood's senior year 'get-a-life' plan
"The first time I saw him, a heavy, grey fog clung to the cornfields, tails of mist slithering between the dying stalks...
He was tall and wearing a long, dark coat, almost a cloak."
Jessica is a normal high school teenager, stressing more about the prom than her homework, about whether she should 'do it' with her boyfriend... or at least until someone new pops up on the scene. Someone tall, dark and mysterious. Someone she is drawn to and repelled by.
As Jessica tries to sift through her confused adolescent feelings, the reason for the stranger's appearance is revealed. Jessica isn't who she thought she was, and Lucius is the man to whom she was betrothed at birth, in a country far away, and to an inheritance she is too bewildered and frightened to claim. Can Jessica turn away from everything she though she was and become the persons her destiny says she should be?
Beth Fantaskey grew up in the small town of Montoursville, Pennsylvania, and later moved to the edge of Amish country, near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She has a master's degree in journalism, and has written everything from speeches to newsletters, articles to short fiction. Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side is her first book. Her second book Jekel Loves Hyde will be released later this year.
