This May, the Flying Saucer Club and Shannon Bourne and band celebrate 50 years since the release of The Jimi Hendrix Experience's Are You Experienced album. Released in May of 1967, Are You Experienced was an immediate critical and commercial success, and it is widely regarded as one the greatest debuts in the history of rock music.
