MAdE Establishment and chef George Calombaris, will open Sydney's first-ever Jimmy Grants souvlaki bar in Sydney Central Plaza on Wednesday 18th October, followed by the opening of a Newtown store in the weeks following.
Jimmy Grants takes inspiration from Australia's immigrant culture, delivering fresh new food experiences for people on the go. The menu boasts souvas filled with tender meat alongside crunchy chips exactly as they're made in Greece. Jimmy Grants' signature souva, Mr Papadopoulos, includes slow-roasted lamb, mustard aioli, chips, onions and parsley. In 2016, the dish topped the list of the most ordered UberEATS dish across the world.
Founded in Melbourne, the much-loved souvlaki bar is set to serve Sydney-siders Greek food with a modern and gourmet spin. It's fast food with a slow food mentality.
Troy McDonagh, CEO of MAdE Establishment, says 'Jimmy Grants will bring an urban vibe wherever it goes. Stores will feature graffiti murals and vintage photographs alongside repurposed and industrial materials. The murals and photos will bring to life the stories of the immigrant spirit and journey."
Celebrating the traditions of the healthy Mediterranean diet, the menu also features share plates with a choice of succulent lamb or chicken, fresh salads and grains bursting with flavour, and a selection of mouth-watering desserts. MAdE recently launched its own organic soda range Tricycle, which is also available.
Jimmy Grants will reveal the official opening date of the Newtown store shortly.
