Jimothy Lacoste Getting Talkative

In the wake of his sold out UK, European tour and recent debut Australian tour, Camden Town sensation Jimothy (FKA Jimothy Lacoste) is making new waves. Following on from a gift for fans on Valentine's day in the form of fashion focused loose-track 'Burberry Socks', Jimothy returns with his brand new single 'Getting Talkative' - a hypnotic and high-octane track that lingers long after listening.

Co-produced by Jimothy, Toddla T, and Harley & Ferg, 'Getting Talkative' promotes Jimothy's skill for an addictive melody, whilst also sharing a strong message. With his unique rap-style, and incredible viral visuals, Jimothy prides himself on speaking openly and honestly about his experiences and thoughts on emotions, culture, and the environment around him 'Getting Talkative' is no different and focuses on his frustrations with modern life and his desire to focus on love and passion without being driven by money. "They talk, too much."

The video, directed by Glenn Kitson sees Jimothy in an impeccably designed house, giving advice to a group of smaller Jimothy's - a reflective yet humorous moment that combines Jimothy's trademark dance moves with a frank and honest message on possessive behaviour.

With an incredible year under his belt, Jimothy has seen support from the likes of Dazed and Confused, Vogue, i-D, Noisey, The Fader and more - Jimothy has mastered the art of creating truly addictive and relatable music.

Whilst his last official single 'Fashion' spoke on the ability to morph into another character through the clothes we choose to wear; an almost childhood desire to dress up and have fun. With a back catalogue of tracks already available online, fan favourites have generated in the form of 'I Can Speak Spanish', 'Subway System', 'Getting Busy' and 'Future Bae'; but all of Jimothy's music has been quietly building hundreds of thousands of views, and earning him the nod of approval from names such as Stormzy, Giggs, DJ Semtex, MistaJam and more.

A visual artist, Jimothy's videos are an adventure, seeing him dancing on top of bus stops, climbing lampposts, chilling with Zebras and choreographing grandmas. As Jimothy says himself "I take the music very seriously, I just don't take myself too seriously."

Earlier this month, Jimothy visited Australia to perform at the annual Groovin The Moo festival and as a support for Rejjie Snow in both Sydney and Melbourne. The Londoner stole hearts of many – fans and tastemakers alike – with his entertaining and elated live set. Jimothy's touring status will continue in 2019, where he is set to perform at Glastonbury Festival, Strawberries & Creem, Longitude, Dour, TRNSMT, Dockville and Outlook.
