Sydney's Johnny Manuel has unveiled new single and short film, Sober, the song effortlessly displaying his world-class vocal.
Johnny wrote the uplifting, anthemic track last year with Scott Ritchie and Michael Fatkin, with production from Michael Fatkin and mastering by Chris Lord-Algae.
Explaining the song, he says, "Sober is about having a person that is your anchor, keeping you grounded in hectic times. When we were writing the song I was reflecting on my travels throughout the world and being on the road non stop. It was chaotic. In life you're lucky if you find a person that helps you balance it all, and that's what I have now. Someone that keeps me "sober".
The accompanying short film was shot in Sydney, helmed by Director/Producer team Duncan Killick and Helen Turner with creative direction from Mikey Ayoubi and set design by Benjamin Fountain. Johnny Manuel is dressed exclusively by Valentino in the short film.
Sober follows Lost In The Music as Manuel releases a string of singles across the year, writing and recording music that is true to his lifelong commitment to his craft, as he defines his own artistic vision.
