One of the World's most flamboyant and successful music stars is to be honoured with a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Sydney this month, when Katy Perry joins the A-list line up.
The new figure is part of a global launch with four Madame Tussauds' attractions around the world portraying the show stopping star in different styles and wearing some of her famous stage outfits recreated exclusively by Katy's costumiers. The figures and their outfits will be revealed in New York, Amsterdam, Bangkok and Sydney on 24 September.
Katy has worked closely with Madame Tussauds on the creation of her wax figures and as well as involving
her costume designers she gave a sitting to the talented studios team who took hundreds of precise
measurements to ensure total accuracy.
Each figure has taken four months to create at a cost of $220,000 each.
