King Princess I Know Ft Fiona Apple

King Princess has debuted 'I Know' featuring Fiona Apple – listen here. Originally performed by Apple, 'I Know' is produced by King Princess with additional production from Mike Malchicoff and features guitar work from Tommy Brenneck of Menahan Street Band.

Of the song King Princess says, "'I Know' is one of my favourite songs of all time. Fiona said everything I would ever want to say to someone I love. Her giving me this song to sing, and singing it with me, is the greatest of gifts."

Apple explains, "I don't remember how it started, or why we were put together, but I was sent a song of hers and I just love her voice, I love her swagger, I love her charisma. We met up and we became fast friends and I came to really love her heart and her mind. She wanted to do the song 'I Know' but it's not really a duet. So, I wanted her to be able to sing it like a cover, singing to her person. I'm just in the background doing the Rhodes piano and harmonies, like I'm standing with my arm around her like a really really low-key hype man. So that's the story behind that and have a wonderful day."

'I Know' follows recent releases '1950' (certified AU Platinum), 'Talia' (certified AU Gold) and critically acclaimed 'Pussy Is God' which has been streamed over 10 million times since its release. Over the weekend, King Princess placed twice in triple j's hottest 100 countdown: '1950' charted at #34 and 'Pussy Is God' came in at #74 – with 'Talia' placing just outside the countdown at #101. In 2018, the breakout star visited our local shores to headline Spotify's inaugural Front Left Live event and King Princess also toured her debut sold out Australian headline shows. In addition, King Princess has accumulated an impressive 33.5 million streams in Australia alone.
