Following the release of Comfortable and a multitude of sold-out live dates earlier this year, multi-instrumentalist LANKS returns with new single -My Own Mystery' featuring singer-songwriter Ngaiire. The track comes off the back of last week's exciting announcement, which revealed the news LANKS had joined brand new Melbourne based label, THAA Records. In conjunction with the new single and signing, LANKS has shared a series of 2018 east coast tour dates, hitting Hudson Ballroom in Sydney on the 23rd of February before heading to Howler, Melbourne and The Milk Factory, Brisbane.
Joining Melbourne-based BATTS, My Own Mystery marks LANKS' debut release on THAA Records, a joint-venture between Unified Music Group and The Hills Are Alive Group and lead by The Hill Are Alive's Co-Founder and Co-Director Aidan McLaren. Penned in Vietnam and whilst finishing the second half of his debut album, the track depicts the emotions of being separated from a loved one. With a support slot on her national -Blastoma' album tour last year, LANKS brought on Ngaiire for female lead vocals describing her as 'one of the biggest and most stunning voices in Australia."
My Own Mystery follows 2016 EP Viet Rose, which featured acclaimed singles Bitter Leaf and Holla. Hailed as one of the country's most exciting new talents, his touring exploits with acts such as RÜFÜS, Vera Blue, Glass Animals, Toro y Moi, as well as a guest appearance for both Kilter and The Kite String Tangle at this year's Splendour In The Grass have seen LANKS loyal fan-base grow exponentially.
With his debut album set for release in 2018, there is no doubt that LANKS continues to prove himself a force to be reckoned with.
