New Zealand pop prodigy Lorde will become the youngest artist to headline the Sydney Opera House Forecourt this November as part of the Opera House's post-Vivid LIVE contemporary music program, which culminates with Beth Orton and Laura Marling next week.
Wrapping a huge summer-festival tour of her native New Zealand, Europe and the United States – including Glastonbury, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo and Fuji Rock – Lorde will now take to the Opera House's impressive outdoor stage.
The November Forecourt performance will feature the 20-year-old's eagerly-awaited second album Melodrama. The first single, -Green Light', provided a glimpse of a new summer soundtrack. As Pitchfork saw it, 'Green Light's dancefloor euphoria was 'a new look for this 20-year-old who first appeared as a shadowy teenaged mystic. She doles it out carefully… but when it hits, she's radiant."
