Get ready to squeal yourselves silly on three new rides!
Travelling all the way from their Italian home, Luna Park's new rides, Moon Balloons and Speedy Beetle have taken up permanent residence to join mini train, Betty Choo Choo and thrill visitors especially our younger Lunies this Summer School Holidays.
From Saturday 22 December 2018 until Sunday 3 February 2019 inclusive, we are very thrilled to be introducing our new tremendous trio of Park rides that will lead all the summer fun at our most loved amusement park, says Luna Park's CEO, Ms Mary Stuart.
"Having been asked a lot lately about what kind experience to expect on each ride, I like to say that Moon Balloons generates a gentle motion as each balloon lifts up to the skies, Speedy Beetle's moves will change with every ride as it spins and slides on a twisting roller coaster track, and that our very cute mini train - Betty Choo Choo is the perfect ride for our younger guests and their families to hop on and see the Park.
"In time for Luna Park's unbelievable 106th Summer Season, our action-packed program over the holidays will of course include our Great Scenic Railway and Carousel operating at full capacity after ongoing heritage works that keep these special Melburnian treasures in tip-top shape. I look forward to seeing all of our guests enjoying a fantabulous Summer Carnival of fun at Luna Park!"
This summer the price to enter the Park, without going on rides, has been increased to $5 to support the ongoing heritage preservation works at Luna Park. By introducing this increase to the entry fee ticket, Luna Park has been able to keep the prices of all rides/attractions the same as they have been for the past three summers in a row!
One of the 'best value for money' options for guests is to purchase an Unlimited Ride Ticket (URT) that will ensure endless fun all day long, being thrown around and belly laughing from ride-to-ride. And when your tummy needs a break from all the giggling there are plenty of places to rest-up. Put your feet up and tuck into a frozen snow cone and eat some delicious Park carnival food – hotdogs and fairy floss galore!
If the day is extra hot and sweaty, don't' fret as Luna Park will have water mist sprays operating around the grounds keeping everyone big and small cool and hydrated. Popping a water bottle and a cap in your bag is also a good idea.
From 22nd December, Luna Park will be open every day of the holidays from 11am (excluding Christmas Day). For more information and opening hours, please visit www.lunapark.com.au
