After a stunning entrance to streaming and radio with her latest single, Lupa J today releases the video for Pull Me Under, along with the announcement of headline shows across Sydney and Melbourne.
The video and tour announcement will serve as the final draw of the curtain before the release of her debut album Swallow Me Whole ahead of its release on July 5.
"Pull Me Under's music video is a heady rush through digitally enabled intimacy, imagining how longing might appear through the lens of animated face filters," explains video director Patrick Haze.
"The clip's effects reflect the complex waves of emotion that wash over you as you remember a heated encounter with someone."
Pull Me Under came with the reveal of the album artwork, created solely by Lupa J, and the track itself serves as a holistic preview of what fans can expect from her electronic-pop debut.
"The album, Swallow Me Whole is about the reckless and desperate feeling that came before I figured out how to take steps towards healing and actual happiness," explains Lupa J.
"Wanting to throw myself into new and risky situations, to feel completely consumed by something - a person, emotion, desire, intoxication - anything that wasn't my reality."
