M.A.D.E for Ballarat Festival of Motoring

This year's historic Ballarat Festival of Motoring 2015 will be held at the Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka (M.A.D.E) on Tuesday 3 November, 2015 10am – 4pm. Vehicles will be displayed on the lawns of the beautiful Eureka Stockade Gardens surrounding M.A.D.E.

Drive your special vehicle and escape to Ballarat or just come to admire the vehicles on show and join likeminded enthusiasts for a celebration of all facets of motoring. Prizes will be awarded on the day for specific categories.

The festival's aim is to create a unique community gathering, where motoring enthusiasts, their families and friends can share their knowledge and admiration for the vehicles on display. Last year's event saw a wonderful display of touring, sports and racing cars old and new.

An historic collection of Motoring and Motorsport films will be shown in the museum's modern theatre throughout the day, only stopping for the running of the Melbourne Cup.

M.A.D.E is located on the historic site of the 1854 Eureka Stockade and explores the powerful story of Eureka as a significant part of the struggle for peoples' rights in Australia and around the world. Festival attendees will have access to M.A.D.E throughout the day, a highlight being the display of the iconic original Flag of the Southern Cross (Eureka Flag).

The award winning Saltbush Kitchen (SBK) licensed cafe is located at M.A.D.E and offers a quality menu sourced from fresh local produce and cooked on site. SBK specializes in bringing delicious Australian bushfood flavours to your meal, offering a selection of hot and cold food, soft drinks, fine espresso coffee and refined teas.
