Raising Money For The Drought

Raising Money For The Drought

The drought for many Australian farmers is unfortunately going to last a long time.

Married at First Sight star, Mick Gould is helping raise funds for Rural Aid and the farmers across the nation.

"I know first hand that so many farmers are doing it really tough. If I can help in a small way by raising funds that provide their cattle with food to eat, I'll be thrilled. I know many farmers put their cattle before themselves and hopefully some of the funds raised through this campaign can even put fresh food in their fridges!", said Mick Gould.

Mick has teamed up with Hang With a Star, Australia's first online platform that gives the public a chance to literally hang out with their favourite star while raising funds for a celebrity's charity of choice.

"It's an incredible concept and I'm so happy to give just a few hours of my life and raise some great money for Rural Aid", said Mick.

To win a money can't buy experience with the Married at First star, people simply go to HangWithaStar.com and make a donation for as little as $10 to Mick's charity of choice, Rural Aid. This donation will then put them in the draw for their chance to win a celebrity experience that won't be forgotten.

One lucky person and their friend will be flown into Sydney for an incredible day with Mick on 1st September, 2019. The prize package includes:
· Return airfares for two
· Accommodation in a four star hotel
· Exclusive lunch with Mick to chat all things MAFS and get all the inside gossip
· VIP tickets to a boat party on Sydney Harbour

"The winners of this prize will have an absolutely fantastic day on the harbour laughing with Mick, posing for selfies and getting a real insight on the behind the scenes of the show.

"We're thrilled and feel so lucky that Mick and Hang With a Star are lending their support to raise awareness and funds to assist our farmers who are struggling emotionally and financially, said Wayne Thomson, General Manager, Rural Aid.

Hang With a Star understand that celebrities play a unique and influential role across all industry sectors and they have an aspirational appeal to consumers nationwide. By offering 'once in a lifetime' experiences they are engaging with large audiences who want to get involved by supporting a great cause and have fun doing it.

"I look forward to a great day on Sydney Harbour with some lucky prize winners and let's get all of Australia behind raising funds for Rural Aid and the farmers", concluded Mick.
