Melbourne's best-kept secret of soul Mo•Louie is stepping into the spotlight with her suave new single I'll Call You' - the second taste of her forthcoming EP Fire Brick set to be released in November this year. The single follows on from her 2016 debut She Said transcending initial ear pricking to full blown goose-bumps with her impeccably smooth vocals and effortless style miles ahead of her years.
Produced by Mo·Louie, Colin Snape, Connor Jones, Luke Hardy and mastered by Simon Lam (Kllo), the '90s inspired track is a soulful journey of healing heartbreak; with honest, liberating lyrics of bold delivery I'll Call You holds at its core a cool, calm and collected take on dealing with pain. Electronic samples and slap-bass grooves come together in a trippy solo blend of haunting harmonies and minimal that is quintessentially Mo•Louie.
With a Bachelor of Performing Arts with Honours in Bebop Music and Performance, Mo•Louie has been playing in local bands since her early teens, writing original music, developing her writing and performance skills, and exploring the collision of jazz and pop music. Mo has shared stages with artists such as Nussy, Nova & the Experience, Mosé & the Fmly, Otis High, Dru Chen and many more under her own Moniker. A frequent collaborator with Australian hip hop artists, Mo•Louie featured on Mini Coop's single Home (2017) from his new album Lift Off, which includes renowned artists such as 360, Pez and Chevy Levett.
Alongside Dr Stuart Grant Mo, is also an official member iconic punk band Primitive Calculators, her vocals can be heard on their recently released single On Drugs taken from their forthcoming album. Continuing her collaboration with Stuart Grant, Mo is set to feature alongside smouldering pop mega-babe Clairy Browne on his newest project with Dr Grant.
