MØ Sun In Our Eyes

MØ releases the video to her new single, 'Sun In Our Eyes' – co-written with Diplo – and directed by David Helman who has worked in collaboration with The Weeknd, Zayn, Gucci Mane and Khalid. The video for 'Sun In Our Eyes' is inspired by Peter Pan, a story that has been the focal point for MØ's highly anticipated forthcoming second album – Forever Neverland – out October 19 via Chess Club, RCA Victor and Sony Music Entertainment Australia. Speaking about the video, MØ reveals: "The video for Sun In Our Eyes shows a gang of people who have chosen to break off from society and create their own world. Peter Pan and the lost boys – sailing instead of flying – setting out for distant shores in hopes of finding and living out their dreams. Collectively they are rejecting the harsh reality of the lives and the world they used to live in."
 
MØ continues: "Though Sun In Our Eyes is a love song, it circles the subject of being unwilling to accept the truth. You wanna keep riding the high even though you deep down know it might be wrong and that it's all a self-made illusion. This theme is what the video is inspired by and it is also one of the subjects of which my forthcoming album Forever Neverland is dealing with. The video is directed by David Helman of which I'm a huge fan. I was extremely excited to do this video with him and I'm super pleased with the outcome."
 
Despite a wealth of collaborations between MØ and Diplo, beginning on MØ's breakout track 'XXX 88' in 2013, 'Sun In Our Eyes' is the sound both of songwriters operating at the height of their powers. Diplo says: "Karen and I have some special chemistry in the studio. Whenever we work together we always write three or four songs in a day, and every time we get better. I think 'Sun In Our Eyes' is the best song we've ever written together".
 
As the writer and voice behind some of the most iconic songs in recent years, Danish star MØ has forged a unique home in modern pop since the release of her debut album No Mythologies To Follow in 2014. In the years since, MØ has become a mainstay on radio playlists and streaming charts, lending her versatile yet distinctive vocals to tracks alongside some of music's current leading lights, while also releasing her own hit singles. Late last year she released her When I Was Young EP, following a three-year run of hit singles, which included 'Lean On' a collaboration with Major Lazer – which is one of the most streamed tracks of all time – and songs with Justin Bieber, Charli XCX and Snakehips to name a few. So far in 2018, MØ has released tracks with Diplo 'Get It Right', Jack Antonoff 'Never Fall in Love', ALMA 'Dance For Me', Noah Cyrus 'We Are F**ked', Steel Banglez + Yxng Bane 'Your Lovin', as well as being part of Dua Lipa's BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge super group performance of 'IDGAF' alongside Charli XCX, Zara Larsson and ALMA.
 
MØ will celebrate the release of Forever Neverland with a huge European tour beginning in Hamburg on November 9, culminating in a hometown show at Copenhagen's Royal Arena.
