No Rome Narcissist Video

Prodigal Manila-born singer and producer No Rome - who is fast becoming one of the most talked about new artists this year - has shared his brand new video for 'Narcissist' featuring The 1975's frontman Matty Healy. He has also been confirmed to support The 1975 on their UK arena tour next year.

Taken from his recently released debut EP Rip Indo Hisashi, 'Narcissist' was co-written with and features Matty Healy and was produced by No Rome, Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975. Together with previously shared tracks 'Do It Again', 'Seventeen' and 'Saint Laurent', it helps to paint a perfectly fascinating portrait of one of the most exciting new pop prospects. 'Narcissist' is another dreamy slice of introspective alt-pop, and the accompanying video – which is unveiled today – finds the eccentric pair together in a hyperspace that only they could come up with, complete with dalmatians.

On making the video, No Rome says - "The Narcissist video is a pop piece done in a hyperspace dream world by Matty Healy, Adam Powell, Tobias Rylander & me. Dalmatians are fucking sick and so is dancing in the future. Cry your heart out in 2088** forever x"

A truly global young talent, No Rome was born and raised in Manila, where a unique, rapidly changing cultural landscape spurred his desire to break out and make music. The most densely populated city in the world – with mountains and the beach also in close proximity in either direction - growing up No Rome found himself in many ways caught in the middle of this "concrete jungle". Making music was an isolated, DIY operation out of necessity, whilst the ability to reinvent yourself through fashion found few early allies in a hometown so conservative. With the rise of the internet, however, came the potential for No Rome to "get the ideas I wanted out of my brain", as well as access to a flux of influences (from New Order and The-Dream to Boards of Canada and Timbaland). Time spent in art school also encouraged No Rome to pursue a parallel passion in fashion and design, with this summer's RIP Indo Hisashi EP - a suitably audio-visual project emerging as a genuine exercise in self-expression.
