Celebrations will be in full swing from Monday 22 February, when first year university students across the state take part in Orientation Week (O-Week) festivities.
To mark the occasion, O'Brien Group Arena is hosting an exclusive and FREE O-Week Monday Night Mixer that will give new students a taste of the campus, classmates and student culture that make up university life.
From 7.30pm – 10.00pm, anyone that presents their student card will receive FREE entry and enjoy all the FREE ice activities on offer, some of which include ice skating, curling, bumper balls and ice hockey penalty shoot outs.
A DJ will be there to spin some tunes, while great giveaways are won and drink specials are aplenty up in their very own bar that overlooks both ice rinks.
Located in a FREE tram zone, visitors can take advantage of the public transport available and jump on the No. 70, No. 86 or City Circle straight to the arena. Alternatively, catch the train and walk down from Southern Cross Station or park at Harbour Town Shopping Centre - it's a flat rate of $7.
Students who visit between February 22nd – 26th will score themselves half price ice skating to the premier ice skating venue.
Entry for all day unlimited skating is usually: $26 including skate hire for adults and $24 for student/concession card holders
