One Breast Bigger Than The Other?

One Breast Bigger Than The Other?
When you start to develop breasts this can take up a lot of your time and concentration as a young woman. Even when you become a more mature woman. Going shopping for bras and getting the right support if you exercise, you may spend a lot of time wondering if your breasts are too big or too small, are they big enough for you? Will your breasts be too firm, too saggy, how big will the nipples be? What colour are they? You may decide to try out methods of making your breast change in size, shape or firmness. But one day you may look in the mirror or put on your bra and notice there is more room in one cup than the other or see in the mirror that one breast is larger than the other. Are you normal? Is this a health issue?

It's quite normal, often expected and common to have breasts of different sizes. Breasts come in many varieties - large, extra large, small, medium, flat, round, full, big nipples, small nipples, dark coloured nipples, light coloured nipples, - so don't freak out and save yourself a stress headache when your breasts don't look exactly like that actress on the movie screen. Every woman is different, and no two breasts are exactly the same.

A little swelling under the nipple is usually how your breasts will begin to develop when a girl starts to develop her breasts. You may notice on your own body or recall when you started to develop, that one of your breasts starts developing before the other or that one is growing/or grew, more quickly than the other. This growth is called differential development, and trust me, it's nothing to worry about. In fact, from research and reports it is estimated that around 40% of women have different-sized breasts, so you are definitely not alone. In a lot of cases as a woman becomes more mature and reaches the age of 20 or so, breast will often even out to be nearly the same size or the exact same size.

Your Mum, Grandma, older sister, and aunt may have had different-sized breasts also. If you feel able to, and there is no reason you should not, ask your family and friends. You may feel better knowing other women's thoughts on this and how they have managed or if it has even bothered them at all. Most girls and women often accept that having different sized breasts is in fact quite normal and they don't let it worry them at all.

The truth here is that taking a supplement, exercising or dieting won't really change the size of your breasts in regard to making them the same size. Some girls and women feel more confident and at ease with themselves and their bodies if they wear especially supportive bras or special inserts that make their breasts appear more equal in size or larger. The great news here is that most people wouldn't have a clue that you are wearing anything to change the look of your breasts.

Have a talk to your mum or school nurse/counsellor or a female friend if you want to find more help on evening out your breast size. If you're still really worried about your breast size, talk to your doctor or gynaecologist. These people are here for you, to help you and will be able to explain to you and reassure you that this is quite normal and you have nothing to fear.

Everyone develops differently, and believe me, girls aren't the only ones with questions: you may be interested to know that many guys may wonder if their penises or breasts are developing normally, too. And keep in mind that every breast, just like every girl, develops at different rates.
