Paraphernalia's Present

Paraphernalia's Present

Diana Lawrenson writes all her picture books with children and their enjoyment in mind, and 'Paraphernalia's Present' is no exception. This charming and heart-warming tale about friendship, brought to life by Dee Huxley's vivid illustrations is an absolute beauty.

Dottie and her hen, Paraphernalia's, share breakfast, trips into town, even afternoon tea.

But one day Dottie has an accident and Paraphernalia's surprises Dottie with the greatest gift of all...

Diana Lawrenson gave up nursing to concentrate on writing shortly after her two children (now grown up) were born. She has written books for children, young readers and adults and has had many articles published in newspapers and magazines. Her picture book, Pickie, The Perfectly Awful Pig, was a favourite on the ABC's Play School in Australia, New Zealand & Asia. Diana is a great adventurer having travelled widely, including a year in Soloman Islands at a bush hospital. Dian now lives in Melbourne with her husband.

Dee Huxley has worked as a freelance illustrator, graphic designer and author and has illustrated many picture books for children.
