Hailing from the sun-drenched shores of Byron Bay, Berlin based electronic five-piece Parcels return with highly anticipated single 'Overnight'. Collaborating with none other than the planet's most gifted robots Daft Punk, the single was written together before being produced by Daft Punk in the spring of 2017 at a secret location in Paris, France. Signing to Parisian tastemakers KitsuneĢ Musique last year, the release of -Overnight' follows debut EP -Hideout' and appearances at Woodford Folk Festival and Falls Festival at the end of 2016.
Parcels are Jules Crommelin, Patrick Hetherington, Noah Hill, Anatole Serret and Louie Swain. The 19 year olds first caught the eye of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel Homem Christo of Daft Punk at a Paris club in 2016. Following their chart-topping partnership with The Weeknd, and previous collaborations with major artists including Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams, and Kanye West, Daft Punk have now elected to add a brand new name to a stellar list. -Overnight' is a timeless statement of bighearted mentorship and of youthful inspiration, an effortless cut of summer bliss that shines with innate musicianship and unfurls its refined groove into the mellowest of nights.
The bold action of moving to the other half of the world paid off as the quintet's synth loaded funk caught the attention of ever curious label Kitsuné. Their debut EP -Hideout' released last January, is crowned as the soundtrack of 2017 by tastemakers such as The Guardian, Clash, Noisey or Wonderland. Parcels' unstoppable groove is contagious: the quintet's young discography is gathering over 10 million plays.
Their live set is consistently energetic, the young musicians best deliver their infectious confidence and contagious beat. Following a sold-out gig at Moth Club and a European Tour supporting Two Door Cinema Club, they've already played at The Great Escape and Dot To Dor, with summer festivals' biggest stages, such as Glastonbury, Paleo, Citadel or Les Eurockéennes coming up. A unique brand of pop music, -Overnight' is a fresh instalment in the Australian mavericks' rise to global attention.
