Celebrate at Perisher Blue's First Spring Carnival including Bob the Builder

This month Perisher Blue welcomes its first Spring Carnival from the 17th to the 25th of September. Lots of fun filled and entertaining events will take place at various venues around the resort to make good use of the excellent conditions.

There will be a huge range of day and night activities, including music performances, street theatre, comedy nights, Flake Film Festival artists and celebrity talks. Night snowshoeing, stories under the stars, and so many more fun filled activities will also be held.

General Manager of Marketing and Resort Services Gary Grant said, "Early indications are that we will have a strong contingent of guests, of all ages, visiting Perisher Blue to enjoy the week of fun and frivolity." There will be no doubt that skiers and boarders will be kept busy on and off the slopes.

A variety of performers will keep everybody entertained with acts including locals Mark Lockyear and Steve Whitmore. Plus bands such as Switch 3, Tomee and the Neighbourhood and The Casual Projects.

You will have the opportunity to sample the newest ski and snowboard gear at Tent City, have a clairvoyant read your future, perhaps give you the snow forecast. Join in on a snow sculpture competition or even sing you heart out at the dress up karaoke night.

We have not forgotten the kids! There will be plenty to keep them entertained such as a jumping castle on Front Valley, face painting, Dan Druff the Clown, movies under the stars, a magic show and a special appearance by Milo the Clown.

Plus, kids should not miss 'Bob the Builder' who will be making a very special appearance in the resort on Saturday September 24th. Come meet Bob and pick up a copy of: "Bob The Builder Snowed Under" now available on DVD and Video, available in Perisher Blue on the 24th or from ABC Shops, ABC Centres and leading video/DVD retailers.

Spring has brought us great skiing and boarding in past years and combined with the music, fun and games of the Spring Carnival it will no double prove to be a great month.

The Perisher Blue Spring Pass will provide you with great value and costs $573 for adults and $315 for children and includes the use of the Skitube. Passes are available now until the end of the Perisher Blue season.
