On Saturday 6th April, just in time for the Easter holidays, the official launch of a new riverside pop-up park for residents of Wentworth Point will be celebrated with a fun-filled day of activities.
Families and friends can enjoy free face painting, a roving balloon bender, live music and community games of Giant Chess Board, Connect4 and Checkers and have the chance to meet their neighbours.
For children with a creative streak, a Lego Station will be set up for them to build unique creations and go in the draw to win amazing Lego prizes. The famous Lego Man will also be present for meet 'n 'greets and photo opportunities.
Charlie Brown, everybody's favourite character from the World of Peanuts, will be along with his friends, Snoopy and Lucy who will perform an interactive show that will engage everyone.
Hosted by developer, Sekisui House, the free community event will also have several local businesses on-site including delicious food trucks, drinks and coffee stations as well as a local pet supplier to provide advice on how to keep those furry friends healthy.
Attendees will also receive goodies to take home and free parking is available at Pierside Shopping Centre and Marina Square.
Sekisui House has committed part of its Sanctuary project site for the fully-funded public recreation area which is the first new dedicated green space created for residents in the suburb in years.
