Sony Music Entertainment Australia is very excited to announce that Justice Crew's brand new single 'Que Sera" has debuted at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart this week.
Justice Crew joins a very elite club, being only the seventh Australian group in ARIA chart history to debut at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Since its release eight days ago, 'Que Sera" has remained at #1 on the iTunes chart and the single has already achieved Gold accreditation.
As John Pearce on behalf of Justice Crew explains, 'When 'Boom Boom" hit #1 we were ecstatic, but this #1 debut of 'Que Sera" is just a whole different level of excitement. We are so honoured and would like to thank the Australian public and all of our dedicated fans for all of their brilliant support. We are incredibly inspired and can't wait to continue making music for everyone to enjoy."
Denis Handlin AM, Chairman & CEO Australia & New Zealand and President, Asia, Sony Music Entertainment, on the #1 debut: 'This is an incredible achievement for Justice Crew. I am very proud of the Crew which started as a dance act in 2009, and now are matching it on the charts with the best in the world. They have worked tirelessly to capture the fascination and respect of the Australian public through their hit songs and performances. This is a very significant number one and a special moment in Australian Artists music history."
'Que Sera" marks a new era for Justice Crew showcasing a deeper emotional side through their music and providing a strong platform to take them to a new level, both in Australia and overseas. Exploring themes such as friendship, harmony, reflection and an appreciation of life, with the clear connection to the well known saying 'what will be, will be," the song allows listeners to draw parallels with their own life experiences as well as further understand the Justice Crew journey thus far.
'Que Sera" was co-written by Grammy Award winning Canadian song-writing and production team, The Messengers with contributions from Justice Crew. The duo consists of singer song-writer and front man of four piece band Magic!, Nasri Atweh, and multi-instrumentalist and arranger, Adam Messinger. Based in Los Angeles, The Messengers have worked with artists such as Shakira, Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown, Lea Michele, Justin Bieber, Cody Simpson, and Jason Derulo.
