Hot on the heels of the hyper-colour -Crashland' collaboration with Men Imitating Machines, Rachel by the Stream release -Surprises', the latest single from their forthcoming debut album.
While recent releases have seen dance focussed flavours, RBTS take us somewhere different and, well, surprising with their latest offering. Featuring a groove-driven hip hop / soul backing complete with vinyl samples and a moving tapestry of synths, Rachel's honey-soaked vocal sits perfectly in the song, making -Surprises' a complete treat for the ears, full of quirks and unexpected direction.
Originally written on guitar, Rachel says it has become: '..one of our favourite tracks to perform live because of the deep groove and unexpected dynamics."
The track was written by Rachel By The Stream, produced by Matt Coldrick and is released on Kinship.
