River Rink

Fed Square is set to become a winter wonderland with the return of River Rink, part of the Winter in Fed Square season that runs from 1 June – 17 July in the heart of Melbourne.

Following on from its great success in 2015, River Rink is destined to become a popular destination as the Yarra River's terrace is transformed to a sensational site of skating fun.  The open air rink will bring a touch of the northern hemisphere to our cool, southern climes as happy skaters of all ages can experience the joy of skating outdoors.

River Rink will be open from 10am – 10pm every day, and skaters of all levels are welcome.  Whether an experienced ice skater, dancer or just a beginner, the River Rink is the place to be.  And cute 70cm high penguins are available for hire to assist our little learners, and give them the support and confidence they need to enjoy this uniquely Melbourne winter experience.

Picture skating across River Rink, the sun sinking into the west, watching Fed Square become a fairyland of light and colour with the spectacular views of the city providing the most dramatic backdrop.  Singles, couples, families and visitors can revel in the experience as they glide on by.

Open from 18 June to 17 July including across the Victorian school holidays families are encouraged to park, eat and skate at Fed Square with the convenience of special parking rates available for ticket buyers, a range of restaurants and cafes to suit any craving and River Rink to provide the perfect day out.
