Romance and Intimacy with Aromatherapy

Romance and Intimacy with Aromatherapy
Aromatic oils can be used very effectively to initiate a mood for romance and intimacy. It is so easy to create a sensual ambience, one that will stir the senses; imagine returning home from a night out, perhaps a cozy dinner with your partner, to the wonderful aromatic scent of organic pure essential oils; those that have been chosen especially because of their aphrodisiac qualities.

With just a few drops of essential oil and a little imagination, you can give your love life a wonderful new dimension. An aromatherapy blend worn on the skin can increase your confidence and self esteem by a minimum of 35%, now that's a bonus when it comes to intimacy. Many women and men have said using specific essential oils such as ylang ylang and patchouli have helped them recharge their libido. Passion and pleasure is certainly a wonderful accompaniment to a truly loving relationship and the natural nourishing art of aromatherapy can certainly stir the passion.

The alluring oils will help you feel better about yourself and this in turn will help you to respond more positively to your partner. If you are both contributing to a deep-seated love and respect for one another, the essential oils can truly work wonders.

For centuries aromatic preparations have been part of the love making ritual. Certain essential oils have "heady", euphoric characteristics, so why not select your favorites and imbue your bedroom. Creating an aromatic space can become an important part of seduction. Cleopatra herself preferred Rose essential oil above all others; she ordered that the sails and timber of her barge be infused with the essence of rose. She wore it as a perfume and her boudoir was strewn with rose petals to gain the favor of Mark Antony; and she certainly gained more than his favor.

Jasmine, Rose, Patchouli, Orange, Sandalwood, Rosewood and Ylang ylang are an ideal accompaniment to seduction. Rose daily body oil is arguably the Queen of the essential oils; worn to heal the matters of the heart, releasing anger at self and others including the feeling of betrayal or resentment; replacing those with feelings of love and affection. It has long remained the favorite natural perfume. Seduce your senses by simply moisturizing your body from top to toe with Rose daily face and body oil. This exotic blend will have you feeling more sensual, confident and self assured, it works wonders, I assure you.

Aphrodisiacs
Certain essential oils have long been praised for their aphrodisiac qualities. One of the reasons why they work so fast and effectively is their natural chemical composition that works quickly on the circulatory, endocrine and reproductive systems when applied (diluted) to the skin. They affect our moods, thoughts and feelings via olfaction; once inhaled, the odor molecules register a response in the limbic portion of the brain, which is also responsible for sexual behavior and memory.

Love Making
Touching and caressing plays a major role in lovemaking. Prolonged fondling and caressing stimulates the body's sexual hormones and heightens arousal so that the energetic charge and sensory fulfillment is far greater. Add to this heightened state of arousal the power of an aromatherapy and you can create a powerful new odor association with your blend; one that will have your senses yearn each time you smell that particular blend again in the future as the power of scent and its registration in the brain will create memory triggers to specific aromas. Introducing a particular aroma whilst in a state of ecstasy is how to create a specific odor association and trigger - a powerful tool indeed.

Touch alone can be a satisfying experience, and being sensually aroused does not necessarily mean sexually aroused. Creating ways to build intimate and prolonged sensual experiences is vital to the sustenance of a long term relationship. There is real magic to be found discovering each other through care filled touch. The magic of massage is the perfect compliment to your aromatherapy blend. Making time and commitment for this as separate from actually making love is a very important technique for enhancing intimacy in your relationship; be sure to create an aromatherapy blend that you both enjoy. The aroma of the blend will link you aromatically and provide you both with a positive aromatic anchor for future intimate moments together. Sandalwood, ylang ylang, lavender and orange will do the trick.

Add 2 drops of Cedarwood, particularly if you're tired or stressed or feel a little nervous; make sure the room is warm, cover your partners and only expose the part of their body that you are working on and begin with care filled, sure handed log flowing strokes, making sure on these occasions to move around the breast area, remaining comfortably clear of the genital area. A regular caring massage to help your partner unwind and rest can work wonders in the trust building department.

Blending
To create your favorite aromatherapy blends you will need a fragrance free moisturizing body oil. I recommend Enrich moisturizing body oil (a special blend of sweet almond, peach kernel and macadamia nut oils). You will need approximately 20mls. (4 teaspoons) for a full body massage (for an adult) of Enrich to which you will add 10 drops in total of your favorite organic or cross cultural aromatherapy essential oil blend. Never compromise on the quality of your essential oils or massage base oils as ultimately they will circulate and affect your underlying tissue and organs once they diffuse into the skin. You could also add 8 drops in total of your essential oil blend to your vaporizer to set the right ambience environmentally or 3-5 drops in total to a fully drawn bath. Here are some recommended blending suggestions. Enjoy!
