Enjoy a day of FREE Scandinavian entertainment on Sunday 19 February with the National Maritime Museum's 'Scandinavian Sunday' festivities.
To celebrate the Musuem's Vikings exhibition modern-day vikings will descend on the museum for the day, bringing with them a smorgasbord of Scandinavian food and culture.
From 10 am to 4 pm there will be plenty of entertainment on offer from Swedish folk dancing and Viking duel re-enactments to performances by the Scandinavian Vocal Ensemble and Swedish Children's choir.Stalls will sell a range of Scandinavian products from Christmas decorations to rugs, homewares and food items from Viking Imports.

NIGHT IN THE NAVY

Bring the family for a special evening of adventure and stories aboard the museum's former Navy destroyer HMAS Vampire and submarine HMAS Onslow.
Explore places not usually open to the public including the gun turret and the quarters below. Get involved in a simulated attack in the Operations Room and send a message from the radio shack.
Then jump on board Onslow and enter the awesome world of underwater stealth and torpedoes.Tickets are $20 adults/children, $58 families (2 adults + 2 children). A sausage sizzle and supper is also included. Bookings essential, call 02 9298 3777.
