Take Me Back
Question: How would you describe your music?
Jacinta Shaye: My music is very pop/RnB orientated, with this first release being a pop song you can dance to.
Question: Which is your favourite song to perform live and why?
Jacinta Shaye: At the moment "Take Me Back" is my favourite song to perform as it gets everyone up and dancing. Also I have performed an acoustic version live on radio and this also created a different and groovy feel.
Question: If you could have anyone, in the world, attend a show, who would it be?
Jacinta Shaye: I would love the opportunity for my Dad to watch me perform, he passed away in 2014 and I have improved and grown so much since.
Question: Do you prefer performing live or recording?
Jacinta Shaye: I much prefer to perform live, it's hard to create a vibe in studio unless you're writing the song and live is so much more intimate and real!
Question: What motivates you most when writing music?
Jacinta Shaye: My happenings in life are probably my inspiration to write music; not just in my own life but watching the others around me or stories I have been told. I like to create my own little story in a song and challenge perspectives and create a concept to go with my music, that way people relate and understand.
Question: Which music/artists are you currently listening to?
Jacinta Shaye: I'm in love with Anne-Marie and I absolutely adore the Aussie band Gang Of Youths.
Question: If you could collaborate with another artist, who would it be?
Jacinta Shaye: I would love to collab with Ruel or Dean Lewis, I think these artists could create a diverse sound for me as an artist with more of an acoustic raw feel.
Question: What's a typical day like?
Jacinta Shaye: Normally my day consists of teaching people how to sing to then jumping online to my socials to upload some exciting new threads and getting some new recording down with my produce - being creative. And then going to watch some live music. Finally getting some rest.
Question: What has been your favourite part of becoming a music artist?
Jacinta Shaye: My most favourite part is watching the journey unfold before my eyes and actually watching my music create who I am as a person. Not only who I am but discovering my strengths and weaknesses as an artist but I'm pushing myself to the ultimate level of motivation to make sure I don't give up the dream I have always wanted.
It's really surprising how far I have been willing to go and to invest in this kind of career and I will continue to do so whilst discovering and learning more along the way.
Question: Can you share your socials?
Jacinta Shaye:
