Fasten Your Seatbelt
Following the considerable success of his debut album 'Sin', Melbourne-based Filipino native rapper Sin Santos is back in the spotlight with his highly anticipated single 'Drop', out now.
Fasten your seatbelt as Sin Santos steers you through an eery and dark production, highlighting his skill level as an emcee and putting pen to pad. Interview with Sin Santos
Question: How would you describe your music?
Sin Santos: A mix of everything most definitely, from explosive/aggressive rap to melodic love songs. I try to cater to everyone's taste when it comes to music. It's the same with me; I switch genres quite often when listening to music.
Question: What inspired the track, Drop?
Sin Santos: Just the beat itself, (producer) LKH sent it and it was just LIT. Period.
Question: What motivates you most when writing music?
Sin Santos: Just trying to make a job off of something I genuinely love doing is enough motivation on its own but my family definitely plays a big part when it comes to that.
Question: Do you prefer performing live or recording?
Sin Santos: Both! I love them both equally. Recording/creating music has got to be one of the best feelings, especially when you are able to take something and have it exactly as how you had it in your head. Gives me that sense of accomplishment.
Performing is crazy. To be able to perform and just turn up to your own songs is a blessing. I love the energy, being able to connect with the audience. Got to have them both, can't just choose one.
Question: Which is your favourite song to perform live and why?
Sin Santos: It has got to be Vampiro, we turn up.
Question: If you could have anyone, in the world, attend a show, who would it be?
Sin Santos: My Grandma, I haven't seen her since 2010, that would be crazy.
Question: Which music/artists are you currently listening to?
Sin Santos: At the moment. Polo G, Calboy, NoCap, Lil Tjay, BTR Chris and YNW Melly.
Question: What or who was your inspiration to go into the music industry?
Sin Santos: Lil Wayne, straight up; just goat status, dominated his era.
Question: If you could collaborate with another artist, who would it be?
Sin Santos: I would love a track with YNW Melly, forsure.
Question: What's a typical day like?
Sin Santos: Train, work, family and music.
Question: What has been your favourite part of becoming a music artist?
Sin Santos: The messages I get from friends, family, fans, especially people from all around the world. It's crazy. Just the thought of people listening to my music and what I got to say.
Question: Can you share your socials?
