SKIY Releases Electrifying House Smash 'The Guitar Track'
Following her break through release in 2017 with Who Got The Keys pushed by Oliver Heldens and his Heldeep label, SKIY has become one of house music's most exciting new talents to arrive on the scene. Delivering her finest material yet, SKIY releases electrifying new tune The Guitar Track to add to her vastly growing catalogue of house anthems.
Her array of distinctive house cuts hold no boundaries, continuing to prick ears of dance music tastemakers. In particular, Talking is still racking up plays whilst seeing support from UKs finest including Gorgon City, Friend Within, Tuff London, Tough Love, Kideko as well as KISS FM's Just Kiddin' and Ben Malone.
Along with a good ear, she also has her fruitful cultural upbringing to thank for her musical flair. Having called Brazil, Croatia and Germany home at various stages, SKIY was exposed to an array of influences, genres and sounds that only fuelled her passion for production. Her more recent work including Use Me showcased SKIY's ability to experiment with contrasting sounds of underground and electro house whilst her glorious progressive cover of B.B.E's Seven Days and One Week, took the original 1996 hit to a whole new level.
Now in the midst of a busy summer schedule that has seen her play huge festival stages at Lollapalooza Berlin, Untold Festival, Ultra Europe, Summerburst in both Stockholm + Gothenburg, Mysteryland, Neversea as well as billed to perform on line ups alongside the likes of Nicole Moudaber, Steve Lawler and Weiss at 585 Club in Croatia, SKIY's latest effort The Guitar Track is set to release the same day as her Hope Festival set. Boasting warping riffs and grooving melodies, SKIY is set to round her summer off on a monumental high.

Interview with SKIY
Question: Can you tell us about The Guitar Track?
SKIY: The Guitar Track is a more powerful single, and is definitely directed towards more underground and club leaning realms. It's a very clubby track and I love the vibes it creates on the dance floor.
Question: How would you describe your music?
SKIY: It's a combination of progressive and underground house leaning sounds, featuring my own signature style of club ready, rugged beats and uplifting riffs.
Question: What motivates you most when writing music?
SKIY: The passion for music that has grown within me over the years, it's unstoppable. There's always something around to influence me and motivate me to produce whether it's touring across different countries or listening to new music. To be honest, it's easy to feel motivated when you can't get enough of what you do.
Question: Do you prefer performing live or recording?
SKIY: I love crowds and seeing people react to my music, seeing people dance along with me is an awesome feeling and will never get old. But then, recording is just as important, performance and recording both have their rightful place on the scene. I wouldn't be able to share my music at my shows and get that amazing buzz if I didn't spend time recording.
Question: Which is your favourite song to perform live and why?
SKIY: It is my own version of Seven Days And One Week. It's such an anthem from back in the days, I still love it and I always wanted to make my own remake of it. Everybody knows it and everybody screams as soon as those chords begin to play and they recognize what it is. Amazing!
Question: What should we expect from your upcoming tour?
SKIY: An eclectic journey of house music old and new, perhaps a few unreleased surprises too. I can't wait to experience an Australian crowd, it's going to be huge!
Question: If you could have anyone, in the world, attend a show, who would it be?
SKIY: When I played at Mayday in Germany my Mom visited the show this was absolutely amazing . My musical evolution has been inspired by my mother being a jazz singer as so I was more than proud to show her live my passion for the music and how cool these live performances are that I love so much.
Question: Which music/artists are you currently listening to?
SKIY: Oh I can't stop listen to Euphoric Dreams from Krystal Clear. Such a beautiful track with great vibes and I know that my friends already hate me for playing this track over and over again but I just can't stop playing it. And of course I've put the track on my latest Spotify Playlist called
SKIYHI.
Question: What or who was your inspiration to go into the music industry?
SKIY: I've always loved music - who doesn't? My parents listened to a variety of music whilst I was growing up and that brushed off on me. Also, being a trained pianist is definitely one of the reasons why I fell in love with music and so music consumed me from a very early age.
Question: If you could collaborate with another artist, who would it be?
SKIY: Right now, I am loving ARTBAT, I love their melodic house style and Solomun would be next level! I also love Fisher and the Solardo guys, along with their insane productions they seem like really fun guys to work with.
