Question: How does it feel to hear your songs played back?

Skyler Clark-Hamel: I love it! It feels great.


Question: How would you describe your music style?

Skyler Clark-Hamel: A combination of pop, rock, and country. I've been called the "guy version of Taylor Swift."


Question: Did you have any pre-conceived ideas about the music industry?

Skyler Clark-Hamel: It's a wild and crazy industry.


Question: Do you write your own songs? What's your inspiration?

Skyler Clark-Hamel: My inspiration comes from all over the place, but usually...girls.


Question: What music/artists do you listen to when you are not playing your own?

Skyler Clark-Hamel: The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, The Who, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, etc.

Skyler Clark-Hamel: I have a new EP coming out in April!


Question: Was there a moment you contemplated throwing in the towel?

Skyler Clark-Hamel: Never seriously.


Question: Do you prefer performing live or recording?

Skyler Clark-Hamel: I love them both!


Question: What/who was your inspiration to go into the music industry?

Skyler Clark-Hamel: The Beatles album, "Rubber Soul."


Question: What is the biggest challenge you have faced along the way to your musical success?

Skyler Clark-Hamel: Growing up.

Skyler Clark-Hamel: Breakfast, shower, music, lunch, music, chill out, dinner, music, sleep, repeat.


Question: What has been your favourite part of becoming a music artist?

Skyler Clark-Hamel: Getting my music out there.

Skyler Clark-Hamel: Taylor Swift.

Skyler Clark-Hamel: Someone sweet. A strong, warm personality. A great smile.

Question: What is the story behind the bands name?

Skyler Clark-Hamel: Skyler is my name. The Band of Thieves is what the rest of the band is called. That is a reference to a Taylor Swift song.
