Says reporter Etta Harrie in the May 2003 Issue of Nexus Magazine:
"Save for The Datsuns, Stardrunk has surely got to be the biggest band in the Waikato right now. They've played support for Pacifier, Grinspoon and Fur Patrol on recent New Zealand tours, they pull the crowds in droves and yeah, they get the girls".Stardrunk have released two self-produced independent EPs, 'Stardrunk' and 'Overstay' both of which have gone on to sell in excess of 500 copies each. Pre-production of the band's debut album is well underway and with the demand from fans beginning to reach fever pitch, Holmes says releasing an album will become a top priority for the band on its return from across the Tasman.
