Australian electro-pop four piece, Strange Talk, return to the scene with a brand new single, -Cast Away'. -Cast Away' is available digitally from today, and is the first offering from their highly anticipated debut album due out in early 2013.

A laid-back combination of synth washes, toms, layered vocals and organic instrumentation, -Cast Away' perfectly showcases Strange Talk's ambitions to bring together futuristic soundscapes with hook-laden hits. The influences of key songwriters and producers, Steve Docker and Gerard Sidhu, are openly evident in -Cast Away', from the pomp and clout of Queen, to the dream haze of M83.

Directed by Phillip Sage (Miami Horror, Nike), the video for -Cast Away' has premiered this morning on VEVO. The video aims to tell a story that most people growing up in the suburbs could relate to, but with a twist and a hint of -80s film nostalgia.

Strange Talk has already commanded the attention of airwaves and audiences with their previous singles -Climbing Walls', -Eskimo Boy' and -Sexual Lifestyle'. These tracks were lifted from their critically acclaimed self-titled debut EP, which also garnered international attention including the #1 position on the Billboard Uncharted Chart.

The Australian music industry has embraced the Melbourne based band since they first made waves coming in at number #1 on the highly competitive pop charts for Triple J Unearthed.
