The Baroness Another Day

The Baroness Another Day

Introducing Central Station Records newest signing, The Baroness, the solo project of Newcastle singer-songwriter Michaela Baranov. Already garnering a loyal fanbase as the official touring vocalist for Australian electronic favourites Peking Duk, The Baroness has recently performed to a crowd of 75,000 people at Australia's bushfire relief concert, 'Firefight'. She now shares her uplifting and energetic debut single, 'Another Day', teaming up with renowned Sydney producer, Xavier Dunn (Jack River, Nina Las Vegas, GRAACE) - the track fuses together synthwave, electronica and 80's pop whilst showcasing her powerful vocals.

Sonically drawing inspiration from The Chemical Brothers, Kavinsky, Cyndi Lauper and Whitney Houston, The Baroness combines her pop sensibilities, with honest and compelling lyrics. Deliberately writing up-tempo music, The Baroness explains "'Another day' is a song I wrote to motivate and stimulate people to live each day as it comes with passion, gratitude and enthusiasm. I wanted the beat to be high energy, fun and infectious and chorus vocals to have a euphoric, sing-along vibe."

The Baroness has attracted a loyal fanbase from performing countless shows as the official tour vocalist for Peking Duk on their recent 'Biggest Tour Ever' and 2018 'Wasted Tour' as well as with many shows with Flight Facilities for tours across Australia, Europe, Asia and the US. With her stunning vocals being the perfect match for these renowned Australian artists, the charismatic performer has also graced the main-stage with these duo's at a number of festivals such as Lost Paradise, Yours and Owls, Falls Festival and Fuji Rock. More recently, The Baroness had the pleasure of debuting her solo live show supporting indie-pop sensation Amy Shark for her hometown performance at The Star on the Gold Coast.

'Another Day' is out now via Central Station Records.
