Following the roaring success of the August market day, The Cannery Rosebery will be hosting a market day monthly on an on-going basis.
The first of these market days will fall on Father's Day on 2nd September, making the beautiful converted warehouse space an ideal spot to treat Dad.
"You can really go all out this Father's Day, all under one roof. There's a place for the little ones to get creative, boutique gift items from the artisanal stallholders, and a banquet of food options to enjoy. Whether it's brunch at 5th Earl, pizza at Da Mario, a schooner at Frenchie's, a feast at Three Blue Ducks or fine dining at Stanton & Co, The Cannery is the place to be this Sunday 2nd," says precinct manager, Natasha Cauvin. We also have some fun for our Father's with free Harley Davidson rides on the day – sign up to The Cannery newsletter and book at the reception desk on the day to be eligible.
Each monthly market will also include children's activities at the historic setting of the old Rosella Soup Cannery so that there is truly something for everyone. September will allow the kids to get collaboratively creative by taking part in a community drawing activity.
Formally named The Cannery Markets, the monthly event will offer a mixture of craft items, food products, gifts ideas, fashion, art and more from boutique stallholders along with the regular list of premium brands The Cannery has become famous for.
Each monthly market will feature regular stallholders, such as Amber Drop Honey and Maethorani Plants and The Little Florist, while other market stallholders will rotate on a monthly basis, so Sydney locals will have something new to discover every month.
Ana Martin of stall Amber Drop Honey says, "Being part of this market last month was a huge success, allowing us to introduce our honey to a discerning customer base that appreciates artisan products. Travelling with our small hive of bees all the way from the Mid North Coast where our farm is located, it was very important for us that this market is not weather dependent and it also has the extra bonus of being a stunning building full of history."
Food and beverages will also be available from the precinct's numerous brands throughout each market day, which include some of the best quality names in Sydney; Welcome Dose Specialty Coffee, Grain Organic Bakery, 5th Earl, Zeus Street Greek and Banh Xeo Bar.
Entry to the event is free and guests are advised to walk, ride their bike, or use local transport to attend.
